Editorial responsibility

Parrhesia News is responsible for every article it publishes. Our editors determine what we cover, set the editorial line, review copy before publication and remain accountable for the final published text.

AI assistance and human oversight

Our daily Newsroom articles may use AI assistance for research organisation, drafting, structure and copy editing. Every final Newsroom article is reviewed, verified, edited and approved by a human editor before publication. AI tools do not make publication decisions or replace editorial accountability.

Contributor and author pieces are not automatically treated as AI-assisted. Where AI was used in the making of a non-Newsroom article, we apply the same article-level disclosure.

Article-level disclosures

When AI was used in the making of an article, readers will see an AI-assisted editorial process notice beneath the byline. The notice explains that a human editor reviewed, verified and approved the final text.

AI-generated illustrations

AI-generated images and symbolic editorial illustrations are labelled separately as Image for illustrative purposes only. AI-generated editorial illustration. This image label concerns the visual only; it does not by itself mean that the article text was AI-assisted.

Accuracy, sourcing and corrections

We aim to publish accurate, fair and clearly sourced work. If we identify a material error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Readers can report errors through our contact channels.

Opinion and conflicts of interest

Opinion is clearly labelled and reflects the author's view. Staff and contributors must disclose relevant personal, financial or political interests that could reasonably be seen to affect their work.
