What we use

We use cookies and browser storage (including local storage and session storage) to provide the site, remember choices, and—only where you choose—support optional features. A cookie is a small file stored by your browser; similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and consent signals.

Strictly necessary

These are always on because the site cannot work safely without them. They include authentication/session state, security and CSRF protections, payment checkout state, and parrhesia_cookie_consent_v1, which records your consent decision. We also use short-lived session state to coordinate an open checkout or a page interaction.

Functional / preferences

With your consent, parrhesia_newsletter_popup_v1, parrhesia_support_popup_v1, and parrhesia.anon_like_id remember optional pop-up choices or an anonymous article-like identifier. We do not write these preference records before functional consent.

Analytics and marketing

These categories are off by default. The current site does not load browser analytics or advertising scripts. If we introduce them, we will update this policy and request consent before activating them. Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage denied; a consent signal alone does not authorise a new provider to load.

Your choices

Choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences in the consent banner. Use Cookie choices in the footer to change your decision later. Rejecting optional technologies does not remove strictly necessary storage or stop the site from working.
